Richard Oastler

Richard Oastler (1789–1861) was a British advocate for workers’ rights during the Industrial Revolution. He famously campaigned against child labor and poor working conditions in factories and mines. Oastler believed that children and workers deserved fair treatment, safety, and proper education. He used his influence to raise awareness and push for legislation to improve labor standards.
