Richard III (historical reference)
Richard III was a King of England who reigned from 1483 to 1485. He was the last king of the House of York and played a key role in the Wars of the Roses, a conflict between rival noble families. Known for his controversial rise to power and disputed involvement in his nephew Edward V’s disappearance, Richard's reign ended at the Battle of Bosworth Field, where he was defeated by Henry Tudor. His death marked the end of medieval English dominance and the beginning of the Tudor Dynasty. Richard III remains a complex figure, historically seen as both a political opportunist and a symbol of tragedy.
