Richard I (King of England)

Richard I of England, known as Richard the Lionheart, was a medieval king who reigned from 1189 to 1199. He was celebrated for his bravery, leadership in warfare, and strong sense of justice. During his rule, he spent much time fighting in the Crusades and defending his kingdom from foreign threats, which limited his time at home. Despite his relatively short reign, he became a legendary figure for his military skill and courage. His leadership helped shape England's history, but he was also often absent, relying on others to manage domestic affairs during his campaigns.
