Rhyme Schemes

A rhyme scheme is the pattern of rhymes at the end of each line in a poem or song. It’s usually represented by letters, where each letter corresponds to a unique sound. For example, in the rhyme scheme ABAB, the first and third lines rhyme with each other, and the second and fourth lines rhyme with each other. Recognizing rhyme schemes helps readers understand the structure and rhythm of a poem, adding to its musical quality. Different poems may follow different schemes, creating various effects and moods through their patterned rhymes.
