
Rhodri Mawr
Rhodri Mawr, also known as Rhodri the Great, was a 9th-century king of Wales who reigned from around 843 to 878. He is credited with unifying much of Wales under his rule and strengthening its political independence during a time of Viking invasions and internal division. Rhodri successfully defended his territory and expanded his influence, establishing a foundation for future Welsh kingdoms. His leadership is remembered for strategic military skill and fostering stability, making him a significant figure in Welsh history.
