RFC (Request for Comments) documents

RFCs (Request for Comments) are official documents used by the Internet community to share ideas, standards, protocols, and technical information related to the development and functioning of the internet and related technologies. Edited by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and other organizations, they serve as a formal way to propose, review, and establish consensus on new or improved internet practices. While they often begin as proposals, many RFCs become foundational standards that ensure different systems and devices can communicate effectively.
