Revolutionary Armed Force (FARC)

The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) is a guerrilla group founded in 1964, originally aimed at establishing a Marxist-Leninist government in Colombia. It engaged in armed conflict, kidnappings, and drug trafficking over decades, significantly impacting the country’s stability. FARC was involved in peace talks with the Colombian government, leading to a historic peace agreement in 2016, which sought to end the conflict and reintegrate members into society.
