Reuse and recycling

Reuse and recycling are two strategies to manage waste sustainably. Reuse involves using an item again for the same or a different purpose, reducing the need for new resources; for example, repurposing glass jars as storage containers. Recycling involves processing used materials into raw materials to create new products, like melting aluminum cans to make new cans or parts. Both reduce waste, conserve resources, and lessen environmental impact, but reuse emphasizes extending the life of items, while recycling focuses on transforming materials into new products when reuse isn’t possible.
