Restrictive Cardiomyopathy

Restrictive cardiomyopathy is a heart condition where the heart muscle becomes stiff and less flexible. This stiffness prevents the heart from filling properly with blood between beats, leading to reduced blood flow to the body. Unlike other heart diseases, the problem isn't with the heart pumping forcefully but with its inability to relax and expand. Causes can include certain diseases or abnormal deposits in the heart tissue. Symptoms may include fatigue, shortness of breath, and swelling. Treatment aims to manage symptoms and underlying causes, but the condition can be serious and requires medical care.
