Response Generalization

Response generalization occurs when a person’s learned behavior extends beyond the specific situation in which it was taught. For example, if someone learns to greet their teacher politely in class, they might also begin greeting other authority figures or even strangers in a similar manner, even without extra training for those scenarios. It's a natural process where behavior transfers to new but related settings, helping individuals adapt their skills across different environments and interactions without needing separate training for each one.
