Resource-Based View Theory

The Resource-Based View (RBV) Theory suggests that a company's unique resources and capabilities—such as skilled employees, proprietary technology, or strong brand reputation—are key factors for gaining a competitive advantage. Instead of focusing solely on market position or external factors, RBV emphasizes leveraging and protecting internal assets that others cannot easily replicate. By doing so, a company can achieve sustained success and differentiate itself in the marketplace. Essentially, RBV highlights the importance of internal strengths as the foundation for long-term competitive advantage.
