Resident Matching Program
The Resident Matching Program (also known as ERAS) is a system that helps medical graduates find and match with residency programs where they will receive specialized training after medical school. Applicants submit their preferences and credentials, and programs do the same. An algorithm then pairs applicants with programs in a way that maximizes mutual preferences, ensuring both parties are matched efficiently. This process provides a fair and organized way for new doctors to secure postgraduate training positions across hospitals and specialties.
