A Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) is a detailed plan developed by organizations or governments to fairly and effectively help people who need to move or have their land affected due to development projects, like roads or factories. It outlines how displaced families or businesses will be compensated, relocated, and supported to restore their livelihoods. The goal is to ensure that resettlement is handled ethically, transparently, and with respect for those impacted, minimizing hardship and ensuring they are no worse off afterward.
