Research Councils UK (RCUK)
Research Councils UK (RCUK) was a collective of the UK's main public funding bodies that supported research and innovation across various disciplines. Established to coordinate funding, RCUK played a key role in promoting collaboration among researchers, universities, and industry. It provided grants and resources to facilitate scientific, technological, and social research, enhancing the UK’s global competitiveness. In 2018, RCUK was replaced by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), which continues to oversee funding and support for research in the UK, driving advancements that benefit society and the economy.
