Research Council UK
Research Council UK (RCUK) was a partnership of the UK's seven research councils that funded and coordinated research across various disciplines, including science, technology, and social sciences. Established to support research excellence and innovation, RCUK provided grants to universities and researchers, encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing. Although RCUK was dissolved in 2018, its functions were taken over by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), which continues to support research and development in the UK, fostering economic growth and societal advancement through research funding and strategic initiatives.
