rescue breaths

Rescue breaths are lifesaving breaths given to someone who isn't breathing normally, typically during CPR. To provide rescue breaths, open the person's airway, pinching their nose shut, and giving a steady breath into their mouth for about a second, watching for their chest to rise. This helps supply oxygen to their lungs and vital organs until normal breathing resumes or emergency help arrives. Proper technique is important, but the main goal is to provide oxygen to increase their chances of recovery.
