Request for Comments Series

The Request for Comments (RFC) series is a collection of documents used to develop and share information about protocols, procedures, and standards in the fields of computing and the internet. Originally initiated by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), these documents can range from technical specifications to informal guidelines. Each RFC is assigned a unique number and, while some become official Standards, others are merely suggestions or discussions. This collaborative approach allows for continuous improvement and innovation in technology by inviting feedback and contributions from experts and the broader community.
