Republic of Kosovo
The Republic of Kosovo is a partially recognized independent country in Southeast Europe, located in the Balkans. It declared independence from Serbia in 2008, after years of conflict and international negotiations. While over 100 countries recognize Kosovo as a sovereign state, Serbia and some others do not, viewing it as a part of Serbia. Kosovo has its own government, laws, and institutions, but its independence remains a subject of international debate and diplomatic disagreement. The region is important for its history, ethnic diversity, and efforts toward stability and development.
