Reproductive anatomy
Reproductive anatomy includes the organs involved in producing, nurturing, and supporting the development of offspring. In females, key structures are the ovaries (which release eggs), fallopian tubes (where fertilization often occurs), the uterus (where a fertilized egg develops into a baby), and the vagina (birth canal). In males, vital parts are the testes (produce sperm and hormones), the epididymis (stores sperm), the seminal vesicles and prostate (produce fluids for semen), and the penis (delivers sperm during reproduction). These organs work together in complex processes of ovulation, fertilization, pregnancy, and sperm delivery.
