Renal Perfusion

Renal perfusion refers to the flow of blood reaching the kidneys, which is essential for their proper function. Blood carries oxygen and nutrients vital for kidney tissues and helps filter waste products from the blood, producing urine. Adequate perfusion depends on healthy blood vessels, normal blood pressure, and proper heart function. If perfusion decreases, the kidneys may not filter blood effectively, leading to potential kidney damage. Essentially, renal perfusion is the blood supply that keeps the kidneys healthy and able to perform their vital role in maintaining overall body balance.
