Remote Piloted Aircraft

A Remote Piloted Aircraft (RPA), often called a drone, is an aircraft controlled remotely by an operator on the ground. It can vary in size from small handheld devices to large aircraft. RPAs are equipped with cameras, sensors, and communication systems for surveillance, reconnaissance, photography, or delivery. They do not have a pilot onboard; instead, they are operated via specialized remote controls or computer systems. RPAs are used in various sectors including military, law enforcement, agriculture, filmmaking, and logistics, providing a flexible and efficient way to perform tasks that would otherwise require manned aircraft or ground operations.
