Reliability and Validity in Research
Reliability and validity are key concepts in research that ensure the findings are trustworthy. Reliability refers to the consistency of a measurement—if you repeat the study or test multiple times, the results should be similar. Validity, on the other hand, concerns whether the study actually measures what it’s intended to measure. A valid study accurately reflects the real-world situation it's studying. Together, high reliability and validity mean the research is both consistent and accurately captures the true phenomena, providing confidence in its conclusions.
