Relay
A relay is an electrically operated switch that allows a low-power circuit to control a higher-power circuit. It uses an electromagnetic coil; when current flows through the coil, it creates a magnetic field that pulls a switch, turning on or off a separate circuit. This allows for safe and efficient control of large electrical loads with small, low-voltage signals, often used in automation, appliances, and automotive systems. Essentially, relays act as electronically controlled switches, enabling different parts of a system to communicate and operate safely without direct electrical contact.
