relativism and absolutism

Relativism is the view that moral principles and truths depend on cultural, personal, or situational contexts; what’s right in one society or for one person may not be in another. Absolutism, on the other hand, holds that certain moral truths are universal and unchanging, regardless of circumstances or perspectives. Essentially, relativism sees morality as fluid and variable, while absolutism sees it as fixed and objective. Both approaches aim to guide human behavior but differ in their belief about whether moral standards are flexible or universal.
