Regulation A
Regulation A is a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) rule that allows companies to raise money from the public through the sale of stock, without having to go through the extensive registration process usually required for larger offerings. It has two tiers: Tier 1 allows companies to raise up to $20 million, while Tier 2 allows for up to $75 million, with additional reporting requirements. This regulation provides smaller companies with a more accessible way to attract investment, making it easier for them to grow and innovate while giving investors opportunities to participate in early-stage companies.
