Regime change in Iran
Regime change in Iran refers to the replacement of the current government with a different leadership or political system. Throughout history, Iran has experienced shifts—from the 1953 CIA-backed coup that overthrew Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh, to the 1979 Islamic Revolution that ended the monarchy and established the Islamic Republic. Such changes often stem from widespread dissatisfaction, political unrest, or external influence, leading to significant transformations in Iran's government structure, policies, and international relations.
