Redemption Rights

Redemption rights are the options a bondholder or investor has to sell back their securities to the issuer before the scheduled maturity date. These rights give the investor the opportunity to recover their investment early, often under specified conditions or timeframes. Redemption clauses help manage risk and liquidity, allowing investors to exit the investment if desired or if certain events occur. The terms of redemption—such as timing, price, and conditions—are typically outlined in the initial agreement or bond indenture.
