Red Brigade
The Red Brigades (Brigate Rosse) were a left-wing terrorist organization active in Italy primarily during the 1970s and 1980s. They sought to overthrow the Italian government through violent actions, including kidnappings, assassinations, and bombings, aiming to establish a revolutionary state aligned with Marxist ideals. Their activities caused widespread fear and political instability. The group was responsible for the kidnapping and murder of prominent figures, most notably Prime Minister Aldo Moro in 1978. The Red Brigades eventually diminished due to law enforcement efforts, internal conflicts, and changing political dynamics.
