Manfred von Richthofen, known as the Red Baron, was a famous German fighter pilot during World War I. He is renowned for his exceptional aerial combat skills and is credited with shooting down 80 enemy aircraft, making him one of the war's top aces. Richthofen flew a distinctive red-painted plane, which contributed to his legendary status. He led a squadron called the "Flying Circus," known for its colorful aircraft and effective tactics. The Red Baron became a symbol of chivalry in warfare, and his exploits have made him an enduring figure in aviation history. He was killed in action in 1918.
