Rectifiers
Rectifiers are electronic devices that convert alternating current (AC), which flows in both directions, into direct current (DC), which flows only in one direction. They are essential for powering many electronic devices that require a steady, unidirectional flow of electricity. Rectifiers typically use diodes—components that allow current to pass in only one direction—to achieve this conversion. By filtering and smoothing the output, rectifiers provide a stable DC supply from AC sources, such as wall outlets, enabling devices like computers, chargers, and power supplies to operate correctly.
