Recording and performance
Recording refers to capturing a musical performance or sound using audio equipment to create a lasting audio file or track. Performance refers to the actual act of a musician or vocalist executing their skills during a live or studio session. In essence, recording is the process of documenting a performance so it can be listened to repeatedly, while performance is the act of delivering the music in real-time. Together, they are fundamental to producing and sharing music—performance being the live act and recording preserving that act for future audiences.
