Rebecca Adlington

Rebecca Adlington is a British former competitive swimmer known for her endurance in middle-distance freestyle events. Born in 1989, she gained international prominence by winning two gold medals at the 2008 Beijing Olympics—one in the 800-meter freestyle and one in the 400-meter freestyle—setting a new world record in the 800m.
