RCS Measurement Techniques

RCS (Radar Cross Section) measurement techniques evaluate how detectable an object is to radar. Techniques include using anechoic chambers—special rooms that eliminate reflections—to measure radar signals in controlled environments, and outdoor range testing, where objects are tested in open spaces with radar systems at a distance. Other methods involve computational modeling to simulate radar interactions virtually. These measurements help in designing objects like aircraft or ships to minimize radar visibility and improve stealth capabilities by analyzing how different shapes, materials, and coatings reflect radar waves.
