
RCA Dome
The RCA Dome was a large indoor sports arena in Indianapolis, Indiana, primarily known as the home of the Indianapolis Colts football team. Opened in 1984, it featured a domed roof that allowed events to be held regardless of weather. The dome hosted football games, concerts, and other events, accommodating tens of thousands of spectators. It was notable for its innovative design and versatility. In 2008, the dome was replaced by Lucas Oil Stadium, and the RCA Dome was demolished. It played a significant role in Indianapolis's sports and entertainment history.
