Rawls (John Rawls)
John Rawls was a philosopher who developed a theory of justice centered on fairness. He proposed the idea of the "original position," where people choose principles of justice without knowing their own social status, abilities, or resources—this is called the "veil of ignorance." Under these conditions, they would select rules that protect everyone's basic rights and ensure fair opportunities, creating a just society. Rawls believed this approach would lead to equitable and rational choices that benefit all, especially the least advantaged. His ideas influence modern discussions on justice, equality, and social fairness.
