RAW format
A RAW format is a type of digital photo file that captures all the original data recorded by a camera's sensor without any compression or editing. Think of it as a digital negative, providing a detailed, unprocessed image that allows for extensive adjustments in post-processing, such as color, brightness, and contrast. Unlike JPEGs, which are processed and compressed in-camera, RAW files retain maximum image quality and detail, giving photographers more control over the final appearance of their images. However, RAW files are larger and require specialized software to edit.
