Ratzel's Law

Ratzel's Law, proposed by geographer Friedrich Ratzel, suggests that a state's territorial expansion is related to its social and economic vitality—meaning a stronger, more dynamic society tends to expand its influence. He viewed nations like living organisms that grow and develop by acquiring additional space to support their population and resources. Essentially, as a country's power and infrastructure increase, it naturally seeks to extend its borders to sustain and enhance its strength, much like a thriving organism, highlighting the relationship between societal growth and territorial expansion.
