RatDog

RatDog was an American rock band formed by Bob Weir, a founding member of the Grateful Dead, in 1995. Known for blending rock, blues, and improvisational elements, the band toured regularly and performed music rooted in the Grateful Dead’s legacy, often improvising during live shows. RatDog served as a platform for Weir to explore new material while connecting with fans of the Dead’s unique sound. The group was active until Weir gradually phased it out in the early 2010s. Overall, RatDog represented a continuation of the improvisational and communal spirit of the Grateful Dead’s music.
