Rat Line
A "Rat Line" is a secret escape route used by individuals to flee from one area to another, often for clandestine purposes. Historically, it referred to clandestine networks that helped Nazis and fascists escape Europe after WWII, using a series of hidden paths, ships, or safe houses to avoid detection. These routes enabled fugitive groups to evade authorities, often connecting countries through countries, facilitating covert movements. In general, a rat line is any hidden passage or method used to escape or move covertly from one place to another.
