Rasta
Rasta, short for Rastafarianism, is a spiritual and cultural movement that originated in Jamaica in the 1930s. It emphasizes connection to African heritage, spiritual awakening, and the importance of unity, love, and resistance to oppression. Rasta advocates for natural living, including dreadlocks and a lifestyle free from artificial substances. Central beliefs include recognition of Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia as a divine figure and a focus on peace, justice, and respect for all. The movement also promotes Reggae music, with Bob Marley being one of its most famous advocates.
