
Raphael Rooms
The Raphael Rooms are a series of magnificently decorated chambers in the Vatican Palace, originally designed as private apartments for Pope Julius II in the early 16th century. Renowned artist Raphael and his workshop painted a series of frescoes here, depicting historical, theological, and philosophical themes with vibrant colors and intricate details. These rooms are celebrated for their artistic mastery and are considered some of the greatest achievements of Renaissance art.
