Rangtong
Rangtong is a philosophical view in Tibetan Buddhism that emphasizes the emptiness of all phenomena, meaning that things do not possess inherent, independent existence. It teaches that everything is interconnected and arises through complex causes and conditions. This approach encourages understanding the nature of reality as lacking inherent self-essence, reducing attachment and misunderstanding. Rangtong often contrasts with other schools that emphasize the innate or intrinsic qualities of phenomena, focusing instead on analyzing and realizing the transient, dependent nature of everything we experience. It promotes insight into the true nature of reality, leading to wisdom and liberation.
