Ranger School

Ranger School is a challenging training program for U.S. Army soldiers focused on developing leadership, endurance, and tactical skills in demanding environments. Established in 1950, the school emphasizes physical fitness, teamwork, and adaptability through a series of rigorous exercises that include wilderness survival, nighttime operations, and small-unit tactics. It typically lasts about 61 days and includes three phases: Benning, Mountain, and Swamp. Graduates earn the Ranger Tab, a symbol of elite proficiency in military skills, and are recognized for their ability to lead troops in complex, high-pressure situations.
