RAMSI (Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands)

RAMSI (Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands) was a multinational effort launched in 2003 to restore stability and rebuild the Solomon Islands, which experienced a period of violent conflict and lawlessness. Led primarily by Australia, it involved police, military, and civilian personnel from several countries working together to restore law and order, support government reforms, and promote economic recovery. Over several years, RAMSI helped reduce violence, trained local police, and strengthened institutions, ultimately enabling the Solomon Islands to regain stability and self-sufficiency. The mission concluded in 2017 after successfully achieving many of its goals.
