Ramon Llull
Ramon Llull (1232-1316) was a Catalan philosopher, writer, and theologian from Mallorca, known for his pioneering ideas in the fields of philosophy, logic, and mysticism. He developed a unique method of reasoning called the "Art," aimed at fostering dialogue between different religions, particularly Christianity and Islam. Llull's works, written in both Catalan and Latin, encompassed a wide range of subjects, including ethics and mathematics. He is often regarded as an early advocate for combinatorial logic and influence in both Western and Islamic thought, making significant contributions to medieval philosophy and the early foundations of modern rationalism and science.
