
Rajasinghe II
Rajasinghe II was a king of Sri Lanka's Kingdom of Kandy from 1798 to 1815. He was known for his efforts to defend his kingdom against British and Dutch colonial powers during a turbulent period. Despite his strong resistance, he faced numerous challenges including military invasions and internal conflicts. His reign ended with the British successfully taking control of Sri Lanka in 1815.
