RAID configurations

RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) is a way to organize multiple hard drives together for better performance, reliability, or both. Different configurations, called levels, distribute data across disks in patterns that can improve speed, protect against data loss, or balance both. For example, RAID 0 stripes data across disks for faster access, while RAID 1 mirrors data on two drives for safety. RAID setups can be combined to tailor to specific needs, offering a balance between performance, data protection, and cost.
