Radio Martí

Radio Martí is a U.S. government-funded radio service that broadcasts news, information, and programming into Cuba. Its goal is to provide Cubans with independent news and support democratic values, countering state-controlled media. Transmissions are primarily over shortwave and satellite, aiming to reach audiences within Cuba despite potential government jamming. Established in 1985, Radio Martí operates separately from the Voice of America and is part of the U.S. Agency for Global Media, reflecting U.S. policy interests in promoting free information and supporting human rights in Cuba.
