Radars and Sonar Technology

Radar and sonar are technologies used to detect objects and determine their location. Radar uses radio waves transmitted through the air; when these waves hit an object, they bounce back, allowing the system to calculate distance and speed. It's commonly used in air traffic control, weather monitoring, and military applications. Sonar employs sound waves, often underwater, where radio waves are ineffective. It sends sound pulses that reflect off objects like submarines or marine life; the system then interprets these echoes to locate and identify underwater objects. Both systems rely on transmitting signals and analyzing echoes to map their surroundings.
