Radar Cross Section (RCS)

Radar Cross Section (RCS) is a measure of how detectable an object is by radar. It quantifies the size and reflectivity of the object based on how much radar energy it reflects back to the radar system. A larger RCS means the object is easier to see, while a smaller RCS indicates it's more stealthy or harder to detect. Factors influencing RCS include the object's shape, materials, and surface features. RCS is crucial in military applications for stealth technology, as well as in aerospace and maritime industries to assess and improve detection capabilities.
